Just a beautiful school run …

This morning there was a glorious white blanket over everything and it made my heart so happy.

The Monday morning school run was pretty chipper and we even had a little play in the garden before we left.

As I’m sure is the case for most parents in December, the days are a blur of nativities, wrapping, shopping, shows and parties. Which while super fun and exciting for the kids means Mum organisation skills are at a trembling breaking point. Throw in a few coughs and colds, the odd late night and what could only be referred to as an accountancy degree level of bank balancing and it’s no wonder December can be such a stressful month.

Today I’m taking some time to watch the girls faces in bright winter light, study their gorgeous cheeks and red noses and cherish the tiny cold hands that grip mine for security and safety. These really are the best days, they are gone too fast.

Love your little angels with all of your heart. and relish those crazy busy times.

I hope you all have a beautiful snow day or sunny day wherever you are

Hey gorgeous people I hope you had a brilliant Halloween and Guy Fawkes night, this year seems to be flying over now and everywhere I look it seems Christmas is fast approaching, which is fantastic!

My post today is a ‘What I Wore’ for a family day out to Fremantle

The navy and white striped skirt and white cropped top are both from Dotti, I saw them hung together in the shop and loved them as an outfit. I’m also wearing flat white sandals from Forever New and a dark denim jacket also Forever New.

I used bumble and bumble hairdressers secret oil in my hair then curled it with my straightening iron, I ran my fingers through so it had a waved effect rather than tight curls.

My make up is NARS Sheer Glow Foundation MECCA, MAYBELLINE Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer Priceline, NARS Orgasm Blush MECCA, Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Golden Light BOBBI BROWN and MAYBELLINE Lash Sensational Mascara Priceline.

Sophie is wearing the girls kinetic 3/4 leggings, t-shirt and zip through hoodie all from Target kids sportswear with her DC neon hi-tops.

The weather was a little overcast but we all had a lovely day. Fremantle always has free things to see and do for kids and lots of bustling street entertainment. I always feel like I’m on holiday when were strolling around, especially on a weekend when the markets are all set up. We’ve had brunch at a few of the cafes on the strip now and it’s one of my absolute favourite things to do. It’s hard to describe the vibe, but if you like vegan, or granola, tie dyed clothing or anything with a relaxed hippy type feel you would love Fremantle.

As always hanks for reading and I hope you all have a lovely weekend whatever you’re up to.

Today I’m wearing one of the dresses in my capsule wardrobe. I picked this up from FOREVER NEW for $20 in the sale, it is a nice light material and I love the mirrored floral print. I’m also wearing my Daniel Wellington watch and strappy tan sandals from Kmart.

Are any of you guys doing project 33? I feel like I’m doing well but there is a lot of things I will do differently next time. One of my dresses has already bit the dust, a navy and white asymmetric, stretch, body con number. There was a mixed load of washing and unfortunately the white is now an incepted grey colour. I’m a sucker for a navy stripe and a bargain, however, the quality of material was not great and neither if I’m honest are my laundry skills so lessons learned on that front.

Version 2

I hope you’re all having a beautiful week and I’d love to see what you guys have included in your 33. Speak soon gorgeous people.

Nicola xx

So we’re up to outfit 11

Today we all walked along to the Sunday Markets again, this is getting a little tradition and I like it. Last week we got fresh oranges and grapefruit this week we got tubs of homemade honey, which I’ll throw out there is the best honey I’ve ever tasted.

It’s pretty hot today so I’m braving some fairly short shorts and a lightweight floral singlet. I’ve had this top for a few years and I love the cut of it and that the straps are nice and dainty so if I catch the sun I don’t end up with unsightly thick lines.

The sandals Lee got me just before I started my capsule wardrobe. I was after a plain tan pair to go with everything and when I found these at Wittner I was delighted. They are a bit more than I usually pay for sandals but I normally end up buying a few pairs throughout the warmer months as I’m pretty heavy on my feet, I’m hoping as these are real leather they will last longer.

I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend whatever you are up to.

Thanks for reading, as always
