Just a beautiful school run …

This morning there was a glorious white blanket over everything and it made my heart so happy.

The Monday morning school run was pretty chipper and we even had a little play in the garden before we left.

As I’m sure is the case for most parents in December, the days are a blur of nativities, wrapping, shopping, shows and parties. Which while super fun and exciting for the kids means Mum organisation skills are at a trembling breaking point. Throw in a few coughs and colds, the odd late night and what could only be referred to as an accountancy degree level of bank balancing and it’s no wonder December can be such a stressful month.

Today I’m taking some time to watch the girls faces in bright winter light, study their gorgeous cheeks and red noses and cherish the tiny cold hands that grip mine for security and safety. These really are the best days, they are gone too fast.

Love your little angels with all of your heart. and relish those crazy busy times.

I hope you all have a beautiful snow day or sunny day wherever you are

The 1st of October is a special day, it is Wear Grey For Brain Tumours Day.
Wear Grey for a Day is a way to raise awareness and support for those fighting brain tumours and their families. All you need to do is find a way of incorporating grey into your outfit today, spend a few minutes to think of how strong and brave the people effected by brain tumours are and let people know why you are wearing something grey.

‘Wear Grey For a Day’ is not principally a fund raising event, it is free for everyone to join in.  Of course there is always a need to raise funds for the work they do at brainstrust to support those battling a brain tumour so those who would like to donate £1 can text

WGBT99 £1 to 70070

I hope you all have a little something grey to wear and will proudly share the brain tumour movement on October the 1st. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Speak soon my Gorgeous people

Hey lovlies

Today I’m taking the girls into the city for hair cuts then coffee (for me) and cake (for them).

I’m wearing my trusty stretch jeans and a relaxed white shirt
The fabric of this is designed to look creased, having one less garment to iron makes it a winner in my eyes
My heels are the KK Alivia Black Crocs which I adore
I feel like any outfits looks far more put together when I wear them
My watch is Daniel Wellington. I’ve seen so many blog posts featuring these watches and they really are fantastic.
With a large white face and classic design they really do compliment any outfit

Just Be That Girl…

IMG_7341

It may boil down to the fact I’m a shopaholic and a huge enabler but I find it so sad when I’m shopping with my friends and they pick something up they like then walk away without it because it’s too ‘dressy’ or ‘smart’ or they are worried about what other people may think of them

“Have you seen that girl in the … ?”
“The one who wears the…”

I have said it before but always be that girl

The girl in the bright scarf or the high heels
The girl who wears anything she likes
because you can’t please everyone, but you can please yourself

Clothing is a fantastic way of expressing yourself, you can wear anything at all, why shouldn’t it be something that makes you feel pretty or sexy or cute?

Grab the dress you adore or the trousers you love
Wear them
Be someone who is not afraid of what anyone may say

Have a gorgeous week

OUTFIT

Aztec singlet Dotti
Moto Black Joni Jeans TOPSHOP
Black aztec bag TOPSHOP
Black Denial-B Sandals Betts

I have been lusting after theses heavy duty sandals for months and I have shoe envy whenever I pass any Betts or pass someone wearing them.

They are a statement shoe and I had ‘will they suit me’ doubts so I could not justify the $89.99 price tag
However that all changed when they went into the end of season sale for $19.99 that is roughly £14
I mean thats on par with Primark prices so I snapped them up.
Yes they may not be everyone’s cup of Chai latte but I adore them
They are super comfy and add something different to the simplest of outfits
The buckle and strap tip are gun metal grey so these can be worn with silver or gold jewellery and hardware

The Jeans are a staple and the jacket I’ve had for years. It’s a lightweight alternative to my leather biker.
